L’Ambiance, located on the southernmost tip of the prestigious Longboat Key in Sarasota, is among the finest and most luxurious condominium on the west coast of Florida. Build in 1990, each of the two 10-story towers offers panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, Sarasota Bay, and the downtown Sarasota skyline.
The owners at L’Ambiance were faced with numerous water intrusion and metal deterioration issues from years of exposure to coastal conditions. The services of Steve Mainardi at Delta Engineering, a highly-respected area engineer, were obtained to generate a solution for this complex project. A major part of Valcourt’s work is within the luxury high-rise condominium industry, so we understand the responsibility for performing high-quality exterior renovations while maintaining an atmosphere appropriate for affluent condo owners and their guests.
Valcourt was chosen for this project due to its attention to detail, outstanding references, and previous work with complex, high-end restoration projects. Restoration work was performed while maintaining safety and minimizing disruptions to guests and owners. On-going collaboration and real-time communication with the client was essential.
Valcourt’s project management and technical expertise made this project a success. Delaminated stucco was identified and replaced. Sliding glass doors, window frames, storm shutters, and hand rails were all prepared and refinished with special attention to detail. Finally, the entire condo was coated to prevent deterioration and restore the remarkable appearance of this property. The project was completed on-time and on-budget.
