While the location is ideal, it presents challenges for the building’s façade. Constant exposure to city pollutants as well as the region's seasonal temperature fluctuations and high humidity accelerates sealant deterioration. To mitigate cracks and potential leaks, building management called on Valcourt to remove and replace the building’s compromised sealants.

Although a common repair, performing the work around busy tenant and retail operations posed a big challenge. In addition to meticulous planning and coordination, our team prioritized maintaining a safe, clean, and well-protected environment to ensure the project’s success.

Ongoing communication with the property manager and on-site engineer facilitated an ideal project schedule. All tenants were notified in advance when work would take place. All storefront shutdowns occurred during non-operational hours, so businesses were not disrupted during work in progress.

Repairs were performed by our highly specialized waterproofing team overseen by a dedicated superintendent. Strict safety protocols were maintained throughout the project, including rerouting pedestrian traffic away from active work zones.
