Flexibility in advance scheduling is essential when providing exterior maintenance needs for schools. For nearly 10 years Valcourt has worked with Stone Ridge to perform exterior maintenance covering a wide range of waterproofing and restoration services. Work takes place in July and August after the school year is over, which requires partnering with Stone Ridge in January or February to identify repair work for the summer months and establish budgets.
Stone Ridge, a private, all girls’ school, consists of 12 buildings and more than 200,000 square feet. The oldest building was constructed in 1906. There are a wide variety of façade elements including stucco, masonry, concrete,
and historic masonry.
Building on a multi-year relationship, Valcourt and Stone Ridge partnered together to develop an integrated plan establishing delivery schedules that fit the school’s needs during the summer months. As an experienced provider, Valcourt understands the unique challenges of working with schools: pinpoint scheduling, real time communication, and tight execution. To ensure that the client was kept well informed, Valcourt’s onsite manager provided real time communication of project
status, process, and procedures. By deploying multiple crews over a concentrated period of time, Valcourt completed all
the varying scopes of project work in an efficient, high quality manner—on time and on budget.
